Building systems that survive production
KC Ramo is a cloud infrastructure engineer, DevOps practitioner, and technical author with over a decade of professional experience building, operating, and scaling distributed systems across major cloud platforms.
His career spans fintech, SaaS product development, and enterprise infrastructure - from wiring together the first CI/CD pipelines at early-stage startups to designing multi-region Kubernetes architectures serving hundreds of thousands of users. Along the way he became intimately familiar with the gap between official documentation and the reality of running systems in production - the gap where real engineers spend most of their time.
That gap is what KC writes about. His books are built around working code, real-world scenarios, and the operational judgment that only comes from having broken things in production and fixed them at 2am. He doesn't write reference manuals - he writes field guides. He also builds and runs a cloud-native tax-automation platform on Django and Kubernetes as a living laboratory for the techniques he writes about.
I write the books I wish had existed when I was learning - real code, honest troubleshooting, and the reasoning behind the decisions that matter.
