Django Front-end Web Developer: Microfinance Transparency (Lancaster, PA)

Microfinance Transparency is seeking a skilled graphic design/front end Django developer with at least 3 years of related work experience to develop and maintain the front end of the mftransparency.org website in coordination with the MFT website programmer and MFT content authors. This is a full-time position with a one-year, renewable contract. Location is flexible, as an applicant with a correctly configured computer could work virtually, but a location near Lancaster, PA is strongly preferred to allow regular in-person meetings and closer coordination with other team members. Skills/qualifications/experience:

• Excellent design and content organization skills
• Excellent css layout skills
• Strong javascript skills. Familiarity with jQuery a plus
• Strong image editing skills
• Familiarity with current web content practices such as “tagging”, “RSS”, etc
• Familiarity with Django templates a plus
• Familiarity with versioning software such a subversion or git a plus
• Proactive, engaged and ethical team player;
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks;
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively without close supervision
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English required
