django-locationtracking

A reusable app for making your location available on your site

An app for Django (using GeoDjango) built for those who desire (and understand the privacy implications) to add location tracking to their tumblelogs/sites. It is being extracted from a private site, and is capable of talking to instamapper.com (who have a decent iPhone app and Java apps for many other phones), APRS over amateur radio, the SPOT satellite tracking service, and (non-live) output files from hardware GPS loggers. It can also be location aware (it can find which (defined) position you're nearest - i.e. if you create an "Office" item with a lat/lon it can show only a named position if you like/prefer.). Please use a svn rev. of 19 or before if you will not be using a spatial database and have a working GeoDjango environment set up.
